Ordering Stationery for Hudson

Spring rolls into Summer and before you know it you find your self with jam-packed weekends, picnics, barbecues, vacations, baptisms, and if you are anything like me, you are already feeling behind! Hudson's first birthday and baptism were at the beginning of April and I have delayed in sending out thank you notes (its really terrible how longs its been...) because I wanted to get him his own stationery. Behr has his own stationery, but I have put off Hudson's for far too long! You know how it is, second kid, mom gets busy, things slip by, my friend Courtney has a great blog series #showyourreal on the subject...

Thank goodness our fabulous friends at Tiny Prints (where we also ordered Behr's note cards) know what's up. They have a promo running that is too good to let pass.

Until July 24th (that is tomorrow!) at 8am (yes, that early), all thank you cards are 50% off by entering promo code: 0723DEAL

Up top are the options I am considering for Hudson. Which would you choose?

How many Christmas cards do you send?

Last year we started a bit of tradition and sent two, sort of. The card on the left went to our long list of family, friends, and colleagues - about 250 people. I've long since given up making our cards with a list that long! The card on the right, became the perfect way to capture a memory of Behr we love. Yes, we loved his precious crying buddha pose! This second card served as our "gift tags" to our closest family and friends.

Tiny Prints is currently running a promo of 10 free holiday flat cards (add-ons like rounded corners, and envelopes not included) which would be perfect as these "gift tags" as you approach the season. Or maybe an extra card to stuff in with notes to the grandparents? This is a great way to use a bunch of your favorite instagram pictures that wouldn't otherwise make the Christmas card cut.

Here are some of the styles I am considering:

Winter Symbols // Wonder Fall // Iconic Year // Photo Garland

Which do you like best?

If you decide to add a few extra free cards to your mix,
use the promo code: HOLIDAYCHEER
offer expires November 13.

Back to School: Stationery

The end of summer brings a bit of nostalgia for back to school shopping. New supplies, bright colored binders, favorite pens, and plenty of tape. Supply stores offer sales this time of year that usually have me giddy with excitement. Now with Behr, I am looking at deals for crayons and sidewalk chalk instead of sharpies. My how my world has changed!

However, there is one back to school deal that I can't pass up - Tiny Prints is offering three free samples of any of their personalized stationery products! It is no secret that I love Tiny Prints - their invitation, boxed cards, and especially their address labels, all of which are available as part of this deal. Just use the promo code 3FREESAMPLES when you checkout to get this incredible deal. Please note that the offer is limited to three samples per customer and you can only do it once. This is a great way to try out their stuff. Check them out today and remember to use the promo code 3FREESAMPLES to get them free!

Holiday Gift Guide 2010: Prepster

When I think preppy, monograms and personalization immediately comes to mind.  Regardless of the color palate, pink and green lilly inspired, traditional nautical navy and crimson, or even more mod orange and aqua, and item with personalization screams PREP!  Here are some favorite takes on gifts for the prepster in your life:

1. Fontain Muray is an excellent go to place for monogrammed gifts.  I am IN LOVE with their serving trays!  Unfortunately, the cupcakes are not included...

2. I recently featured fabulous Spa Wraps on my calligraphy blog as an excellent gift and fun photo op for bridesmaids.  These versitile towels also make a great gift for the number one prepster in your life.  For more information, visit The Palm Gifts.

3. Wall Art, Growth Charts, Note Pads and more...Name Your Design has fabulous gifts for every age.  Planning for a baby boy, I am especially drawn to the "zoooom" race car.  While this company claims to be modern...it speaks to the WASP in me!

4. For custom stationery, I always turn to English Tea Paperie.  I love the designs and the simplicity.  These note cards never last in my house because I get so excited to use them.  Swing over to English Tea Paperie and check out more of the fabulous designs for yourself!

5. Tote Bags!  You can go the traditional L.L. Bean route, "high" fashion from J.Crew, nautical with the ever so popular Sea Bags, or mix it up a bit with these snazzy styles from Ballard Designs, my personal favorite:

Be sure to check out the other posts in my Holiday Gift Guide 2010 series!  We have covered everything from the man in your life to top food gifts.  With Christmas right around the corner, you don't want to miss out on these great ideas.

Baby Bump Christmas Cards

With a due date in early January, Mark and I decided that a baby bump on our Christmas card is a MUST!  Typically we go the homemade card route because I like to get all crafty, but this year presented special circumstances.  Here are a few cards we like...but NOT the card we chose!  To see the final product, you will have to wait for good old snail mail.

Which one is your favorite?  Are you sending snail mail Christmas Cards?  When do you typically send cards?  (are you one of THOSE people that already has them in the mail or ready to go?!?)
