Some Favorites for You

This wallpaper would make a room sing. I am falling in love with the large scale animals. Seen on Stella and Henry.

Colleen took this photo for her "close up #janphotoaday" and I love it. At first glance, I see glitter, the second look makes me hungry. Craving new york bagels. ps. Colleen, if you are reading, my preference is sesame too!

Behr likes to build. The fun we would have with this Block City is unimaginable. Seen on Paul & Paula.
Now that we have a new cabinet upon which to perch our TV, I've gotten a hankering for a new sofa. Yeah, typically a "hankering" involves food for me, but this sofa is also delicious. The beauty is in the chaise, which would separate our television area from our toy area, but the open side keeps it feeling like one room. I am smitten.

And if you give a mouse a cookie... Clearly, I would need some new pillows if I got a new sofa. Thankfully Lauren of With Two Cats was one step ahead of me. She also wrote a pretty nifty piece on the anatomy of her posts. Bonus, a free printable is included.

Speaking of free printables. The ever inspiring Jess of IROCKSOWHAT is offering these ikat frames.

So there you have it.
A round up of the pretty pictures that I have been eyeing this week.

This weekend we are off to PA to celebrate Behr's birthday with family and friends. And then I get to stay and continuing visiting! What does your weekend have in store?

Have you seen the incredible watercolor stationery? These mini masterpieces have been popping up all over pinterest and blog land. Let me tell you, I am in love. The whimsey and cheerfulness of these colors. It has me thinking of all sorts of future applications.  You know, birth announcements for the second baby that I am not even pregnant with yet, change of address cards, kids future high school and college graduations. Clearly, I am getting a bit ahead of myself!

Are you loving these watercolor pieces as much as I am?  Do you think you will be using this method for a project in your own home or life?  Or simply leave it to the pros and purchase for one of the stationers featured here?

p.s. my baby is eleven months old today. eleven months! time needs to slow down.

Bright Five Favorites

Warning: This is a ridiculously random list of finds.
1. adorable birth announcement.
{this view may or may not be influenced by the fact that I am ready for baby no. 2 but not yet pregnant}

2. Raspberries.
The last pint of the season sitting on the top shelf of our refrigerator

3. A confesstion: I overuse the exclamation point!!!

Admitting you have a problem is the first step right?

4. A new kind of kneepad, cropping up on the interwebs seen here and tutorial here.

5. The newest clutches from k.slademade and a giveaway to boot.  But I don't really want you to enter.

And incase you are having a rough week, some puppy love and my favorite dog in all of blog land.

Hooray, it is Friday

There are so many reasons to be excited it is Friday.  Here are my five favorite:

1. One of my new favorite baby blogs, which you can find here.

2. Behr and I are boarding a plane to visit with some pretty incredible ladies, Bridget, Candis, Elizabeth, and Molly.  You will get to hear about all of that next week.

3. My house is clean.  It doesn't matter much to you, but it certainly makes me excited!  It brings me great comfort to leave home know things are in order.

4. Did I mention that I am really excited about my weekend plans?  What are you weekend plans?  I want to get excited about yours too!

5. And I leave you with some giggles from our New England weekend:

Five Favorites

tiny pouches found on oh, joy.  originally I fell in love with these featured on oh, joy {by rennes} but joy has done it again with the beauties features above.  can a girl have too many tiny pouches?  sadly, the answer is probably yes.  I might have to go on a bag fast for 2012 once my shoe fast is over.

on to baby is featuring my new favorite nursery, oh and the newborn pics are adorable too!

and an alphabet video, because it is rainy, so why not waste time watching clever videos?

dina, of honey + fitz has provided a fabulous how to for customizing your bugaboo canopy.  lady lee, I am looking at you, hint hint.  it makes me want to go buy a bugaboo, and a sewing machine!  rainy day shopping fever? likely.

fall photo sessions seen here and here are making me want to grab some plaid and book a nine month photo shoot for Behr.  he would be cute in plaid, no?  some beautiful fall leaves would also be nice.  hmmm...Mark, I hope you are reading this blog post and agreeing...

oh,
and because a few things have been bugging me recently,
here is what I don't want to see on the interwebs anymore:

wasabi tape, whatever you are, I am over you

christmas decoration ideas
you are okay on pinterest, but it is too early to make appearances in blog posts

wow, I thought more things must be bugging me, but now I am at a loss.

happy friday.

Some Favorites

I wanted to share some family portraits from our Florida vacation. The fabulous Pam Bell based out of Amelia Island took our photos and was wonderful to work with.

As I was trying to figure out how and when to share these photos, I realized that I have once again been hoarding links to favorites of the interwebs.  What better than a post featuring both?

 FIVE FAVORITES OF THE WEEK:

 adorable rubber stamp kits

the perfect appetizer for my greek heart (oh yeah, I am greek.  did I forget to mention that?)

if we lived in a bigger home, I would collect rugs. my latest rug obsession

    this etsy shop redefines whimsy

a twist on tomboy style, my favorite look of all

What do you think?

Should linking to favorites become a more regular feature on The Scribble Pad?

I would love a swing...

...today please.

As a kid, I loved swings.  They were my favorite!  Sadly, DC has a serious lack of swings in their parks because of some blabla liability issue or something boring like that.  Behr has yet to experience his first swing.  But fornow, let's forget about Behr and dream about these swings.

Yes, these would all be nice.  Especially on a rainy day.  I am torn between the first and second one being my favorite.

Spring Rainbows

In case you missed the weather forecast, Spring has been eluding the East Coast.  It is cold, dreary, and damp.  My mood needed a serious boost of joy, and I thought you might too. Bring on the rainbows!
