The Many Faces of Behr

Recently, Behr has been waking up at the perfect time each morning, just before 6 am,  {It is sick to think that I could ever call this the perfect time, but that is a "blessing" of motherhood and a story for another day.} giving us sweet time to cuddle together as a family before we begin rushing about.  We are all rested with sleep faces and silly grins in the morning.  Behr's excitement to see us, as if he had been waiting throughout the night just for morning to arrive, overwhelms both Mark and I with joy.

Behr wakes up happy and squeals with delight as we pick him up and bring him into bed with us {or roll over and look at him, because yes, we co-sleep, another story for another time}.  Our silly grins grow wider.  The squeals and kisses and giggles continue and we never want to get out of bed.

Our mornings have become my favorite time of day.

Yesterday, Behr was looking especially adorable and sleepy, so I tried to capture the moment.

Warning:
Sleepy faces are not photogenic faces.
Beware of the images you are about to see.

Umm.  Yeah.  That didn't go so well.

In fact, it actually reminded me of Behr's frowns, which I was so enamored with when he was 3 months old.  And now, I would really like it if I could get some smiles for the camera.  But instead, Behr gave me this:

It is priceless.  Thanks baby.  I love you with all of my heart.
{even when our sleepy mornings turn a bit cranky}

  8. Thanks for all the sweet comments. Behr totally was not feeling the camera, but the picture is still a keeper. Might even be a framer...

  10. These are the BEST faces to capture! Phin wakes up at the same time and comes into our bed for a little family time before we all get up and face the morning. I'm with you sister, best part of the day.
