A visit from Auntie Julia

Before we went to Florida {over a week ago now...} my sister Julia came for a visit and to help me get ready for vacation while Mark was at grad school and I was flying solo with Behr for 5 days.  It was both a treat to have her visit and a huge help!

Have you heard about how hot it is?  Oh, you are hot too?  Well, that is why we go to Yards Park.  Behr loves the water.  I love the water.  When we go, we always run into friends.  What could be better?  So naturally, we took Jul to Yards Park, and it did not disappoint.

After cooling off and nap time back at the house, we went on search for the perfect meal.  Julia is a bit of a foodie with pretty high standards.  Before her visit she called to say she would come as long as went to a "really good restaurant." Somehow the conversation, and the demand completely slipped her mind.  Nevertheless, I aim to please, and appreciate an excuse to go out.  So we headed to The Chesapeake Room on Barracks Row.  Good drinks and great food.  Julia ordered the special salad with crusted goat cheese and figs, while I indulged in the crab and fried green tomato stack.  Our meals were heavenly.   To celebrate her visit, we also ordered specialty drinks.  Everything was fabulous.  I can't wait to have a reason to go back!

Anyone want to visit so I have a reason to go back??
