Love Etsy

I really do, I love Etsy. Recently, my heart has been a pitter patter for "different" necklaces. You know, something other than my typical pearls or beads. Then I found this:

I wanted it.
It went on sale.
I bought it.

Wahoo! I cannot wait until it arrives in the mail!

Diamond Award!

I have been given a Diamond Award by Happy Daily. I would like to pass this award onto Julie at Green Eggs and Hammes, because really her blog makes me laugh out loud!

The second reason I am nominating Julie is because she is a very talented and creative woman! She has recently begun making aprons out of beautiful fabrics. I just got mine in the mail last night! Here is what my package looked like:
The adorable packaging makes the apron even more of a treat to open!

And here is Julie modeling the apron before she sent it:

If you are interested, visit Julie's site: Simple Reflections to find out how to contact her about your very own custom made apron! Or you could just leave a comment here and I can put you in touch with her! Hooray Julie!

PS Check out photos of aprons she has made here: Simple Reflections Aprons

Artscape

This weekend Bux and Christen were down in Baltimore because Saturn was sponsoring the 27th Annual Artscape. We hung out in the {air conditioned} VIP Lounge, at the Saturn tent, and on the waterfront in efforts to avoid the heat. We went shopping, explored some of the artist's work, crashed an outdoor wedding had a delicious dinner at McCormick and Schmidt. It was an incredible day of relaxing. We had no set plans, went with the flow and had a great time. We love when his work brings Bux and Christen to the mid-atlantic. It allows us to see them more often!

Saturday evening the Saturn stage was packed because Rusted Root was playing. It was an awesome concert and we were surrounded by hippies.

At the end of the day, Christen and I decided we had a favorite artists:

Theresita Design:

Sita creates some of the most beautiful and spunky hand painted ceramics I have ever seen. Here are just two pieces that I love. Visit her site on Etsy (linked above) to see more. Some perks to her product: they are microwaveable, machine washable, and oven safe! Best of all, she takes custom orders. Look around, see something you like a pattern, colors, style, and you can mix and match to meet your fancy! It is amazing.
